Please help me make a dream come true: a future where families can navigate family court without being overwhelmed, intimidated, or financially drained by attorneys. For far too many parents, civil court—divorce, child custody, protection services, and guardianship cases—can feel like a place where hope gets buried under paperwork, fear, and legal fees. I believe that if we can make legal help more accessible, we can begin to ease some of that pain and give families a better chance to be heard.
In 2020, I created an app because I knew what it felt like to need help and not
be able to afford it. Then COVID changed everything. I had to find a new job,
and for a while was working 80 hours a week. By the time I was finally able to
return to the app a year later, so much had changed that it felt like I was
starting all over again.
But I did not give up. In 2026, with the help of AI, I was able to make the app
even better. That app is EditableApp.Com, and it was created for parents who
are scared, exhausted, and trying to protect their children while facing a
system that can feel impossible to understand. With Editable, you can write a
motion right from your phone. You simply add your information ahead of time,
and when something happens, you answer guided questions. Then, just like that,
you have a motion ready to use.
If you visit the app and pretend to purchase, it will take you to the Editable
site. Please take a moment to get familiar with the motions, case law, and free
manuals available there. You may not need them today, but someday you may meet
someone who desperately does.
The Editable App is also getting lawyers out of family
court. Lawyers are 50% of the issues that take place in the system. If we make
them obsolete, we fix half the probably.
Editable was created to help parents who cannot afford an attorney, like I once
couldn’t. I know what it feels like to stand in that kind of fear and
uncertainty, wishing someone would just make the process a little easier to
understand.
Recently, a friend of mine began going through a divorce, and it brought those memories back. It reminded me of the
chaos, the heartbreak, and the helplessness. It also reminded me why I decided
to get a degree in Human Services in the first place: so, I could help other
mothers and parents walk through what I once had to walk through alone.
